Hi all, maybe you remember that I am making a sciencefiction racing game But I just need to make a very good looking Earth and Moon model (basicly spheres with normal mapping and a very good texture), my only problem is that I just dont know how to skin that model. These pictures should help you understand the problem :

The source image that I have :

And how the model should look like mapped. // (lol) this is done in 3DMax,
and I can also export those texture coordinates via 3ds format, but then I get unclosed mesh in the MED

So my question is: how to map those spheres?

Well in Med you just have to apply the skin texture to the model. The uv information should still be there when you import from 3DS. The unclosed mesh can be fixed by selecting all the vertices in MED an clicking the weld button (or is it merge..I never know which one it is). Then you should have a correctly skinned earth model.
