hi,

i don't know where to ask this question thats why i am asking to hear.
our company brought new pc with 8 gb ram.
but windos xp support only for max 4gb ram. because of it we think we have to go for windos 2000 advance server or windos 2003 advance server.

but problem is did 3d max working in windos 2003 advance server or windos 2000 advance server.
specialy we prefer 3d max 2008, or 3d max 9

please help me.

we put ultimate vista but it show only 3,120 megabytes

Don't think using 3D Studio Max on Server 2003 offer advantages? If you want 8GB you could do with Vista 64bit or some other 64bit OS.

That is correct. You need to use either WinXP 64 or Vista 64

Lol, that's actually not quite correct, because there's also a Windows Server 2003 64bit version that supports up to 32Gb of RAM, the normal Standard version only supports up to 4Gb of RAM. The Enterprise edition of Windows Server 2003 dóes support 8 Gb or RAM by the way.
