Hi, I'm kinda new with 3D Game Studio, would you please show me how can I export animated character from 3DS Max 9 to Med?
I tried searching and I found some people with this problem too, tried export to .X, .ASE, ect. but the best result I got is the bones animate but the mesh doesn't.

I found on the net a MDL exporter plug-in for 3DS Max, but it's for 3DS Max 7 and seemed to be outdated too

My model's an animated human character with physique.

Hiya.

Yeah, using the .fbx option is probably the best for that. Also, maybe see if the 3ds MAX manuals have anything to say about game export; I know that in the versions I've bought/upgraded (v3 to v6) has info specifically about games...not sure if they kept that in the later versions of MAX...

Thanks Moerk, Paul_L_Ming and DJBMASTER, I'll try that, you're so kind.

And I've heard that a model's vertex in 3D Game Studio can't be attached to more than one bone, is it true? Is there any way to change this?

Thanks broozar!
I'm using the trial version and I'm gonna buy the comm edition. Seems like I have to save more money
But, what does the Pro edition's "+weights" of bone animation mean? Do I have to do any coding to active this feature? or is it hard-coded and I only have to import the model to Med, Wed and it automatically works?
