The game looks ugly because the models are high res and the levels are low res. work on the levels and the textures.

I like the models quite a bit, though I'm not too sure about the levels themselves. I think a higher res texture on the ground plane would help out immensely.

I think the entire panel should just be flashier. Maybe a fancier font for the counter since it is a bit plain, and any player portrait on the left side of the screen might look more "comfortable" if they were flipped to face towards the center of the screen. Not sure about that one. I'd also think about those green/blue health bars.

Other than that, it's nice to see a fighting game with the engine.

Greyplasma, the floor looks very odd. Can't you change it to something more "interesting"? I know you wanna make it like dirt, but the effect it's not this.

The rest it's excelent. It's old MK visual.

This game looks very good, and I don't see why someone thought that the characters were based on old games; what kind of other characters would suit for a fighting game? Right! A ninja is a good start, some army sarge OK ! The lady with those ouch handgloves with spikes is great!

Good luck

Cheers

Realspawn is right, it looks like a repetition of a lot of characters. Plus I have no right to say this but you should have more then 7 characters, you had 7 characters way back during the days of Mortal Kombat 1 and street fighter 1.

Another idea , developers tend to put a majority of traditional characters as fighters like Japanese games are justified by a lot of sensei and ninjas and American games are justified by army fighters(JAX,Sonya) , moviestars(Johny Cage) or Stree gangs.
How bout putting a stuntman like fighter(like akshay Kumar ) or a mercenary like character(Bhai - eg : Sanjay dutt) or an ancient warrior with armour and stuff.(From time of ashoka).

This game will not only have a high sale world wide but will definately have a good sale in India !

Our team is looking for prospective members. Intermediate skills are minimum, No amateurs. Our team can have members from anywhere ,so long theres an international bank around We need a modeller,2d artist and level designer
