USA BASS Sales hit 48,248 12-31-03

Hi Guys,

USA Bass sales hit 48,258 - Actual sales were Actual Sales 51,676 minus returns of 3476.

So I missed the 50,000 units sold through mark. Hopefully I will break it this quarter.

My other game Veggie Tales Creativity City has sold through 34,619 units.

Totals sales for my two games I did last year is 82,877.

Not bad for this ole Indie Hippie.

The clipping is a problem.

Go into options and select DX Clipping and turn that on.

It will fix the clipping problems.

Thanks for giving the game a go....

Hmm.. from a fellow developers perspective..

I like how you did the GUI.. the timex style interface. Did you do that yourself in photoshop or hire a 2D artist?

I also like the fisherman model, animated well. Did you contract out for that?

Florian Jungwirth did alot of the interface.

I met him here on the Forums. He does great work. Check out his RC Boat Racing.

Joe Hocking animated the fisherman model. I bought the orginal model on Turbosquid.

Awsome stuff nardulous! I saw take out weight curling in london drugs today when i went for my dazzle dvc150. Glad to here youve hit the dough factory. Dough being the word spelled with $$$

I have lived the indie to medium sized studio owner back to indie gig.

Hard work and an ego that does not get bruised to badly help in this industry.

Curious as to how you worked out the expenses for extra staff, I'm doing a game on the side (not 3dgs), pure c++ with a friend, I'm the artist, and we've agreed a split between us, but recently it's been brought up that we made need a musician, as sound effects and voice samples won't be enough, and we don't know whether the game would even actually make any money or not, so we're a bit stuck on this stance ?
