WOW looks quite amazing and eminently playable.
Your 'unsheath weapon' animation is impresive as are the battle scenes.
Love the sounds.
Cheers.

The video is incredibly low-res... Post some screens where you can see something, this is a 10cmx10cm square on my monitor...
It seems very good from what i could discern(Voice at the beginning especially), just need some screens.

You are BTW good at aiming, as you see at about 2:10 into the vid. you only miss about 30m

Very, very nice work! You can't compare it with grat games like Morrowind, but for 3DGS it looks very impressive! I can't believe that it is made with this engine!

Which program do you used to make this video and which program to capture it? I've been searching for those good programs without good results

I really appreciate everyones positive feedback. Very helpful critiques as well.

Quote:

felt that the trailer would be much "fuller" if more was said throughout the length of the video

I was wondering about this. My first thought was to have more narration, but didn't want to be too wordy as well. Others have said the same and I think I'll be making a revised version with a bit more narration and diversity.

You might also want to give the player character a better skin or more polygons since players will have him in view throughout the game.

Actually the main character you see walking around is not the "main character" . The main character hasn't been made yet. We're using this one as the prototype for all the other npc's that are going to be made during the coming six months.

Yes, I stumbled upon Chris' website and he graciously allowed me to use his music in-game. Here's his site in case you want to check out his other stuff.

Also I love the sun

The sun and most of the other special effects were done by Rhuarc - awesome job as always!

Yes, I tried all those low-end screen capture programs and never got any to work to my satisfaction. What I ended up doing was outputing directly from the video card to a DV camcorder and rebooting the computer (then the computer screen popped up on my camcorder display). Then I simply hit record on the camcorder while I played the game. Then I recaptured the camcorder footage back into the computer as an .avi and spliced it all together using Pinnacle Studio. That method has worked for me, but I imagine there must be an easier way I haven't discovered yet (anyone know of one?)

Thanks again,
Peter

Oh...one more thing. I'm not happy with my water. If anyone can get me some really cool water sometime in the next six months using some of A6's new features, I'll bequeath to them my first-born son
