skySystem2 - final thread:)

hope you dont take it as spam too much, since it is a little spam:)

anyways, skySystem2 is available under http://shop.earthcontrol.de/ for only 10€
since i didnt get any problems reported from the customers so far i guess there wasnt any so far;)

the different clouds use shaders from version 1.1 to version 2.0 so there should be one for everyone. no ffp-version , no fallbacks since you shouldnt initiate the skySystem2 if there is no shadersupport - check "d3d_shaderversion" in the manual for doing this

some screens (the parameters are included in the sky_settings.wdl) :

Hello Ello,

I have a few questions

How do you save your sky? Lets say you make a sky when in run mode but when you run it again the default sky shows up again. So how do you save your sky after you configure the settings to get what you want? And how do you get your sky out to another level? And one more question please...shouldnt the changes that I make in run mode affect the wdl? Could you please in context explain a step by step process on how to get this working?

Thank you!

Light_Mystic.

thanks ppl:)

about fx-files, i thought about adding one userdefinable, like with the faderbox. i dont want to give everything editable, because thats not what was my intention on this tool. but one editable is better, will be added.

about the presets yes, maybe i should add a load button, i'll try this. at the moment the presets are in the sky_settings.wdl and have to be copied manually into the projects script.

//////////////
when attempting to port a saved sky, open up the sky_settings.wdl and copy the array-definition from the right section (your entered name appears as a comment there) and paste it into your projects script like seen in the skySystem2_demo.wdl

using initSkySystem2(1); // if its already started use value 0
will apply the new values.

or adjusting parameters at your own by directly adressing them (see info doc)

just look into the skySystem2_demo.wdl how i did it there

hope this gets you started:)

how? and why?? there is a demo and thus much better than a video, available here

it has only two versions of the full scale and u should start using the randomize buttons first, because it starts up with a clear sky.. it needs to be updated, soon after the weekend.

Shouldn't a Geforce4 at least run a few of the shaders?

I didn't read the other threads, so I think might be useful if you explain:

1. SkySystem is a dll, a program, just skies?
2. How we can implement it in the level (just few lines, to know how it works)?
3. It can be used in A5, A6 std, comm, pro...?
4. It cames with sky examples? A level exemple? Script exemple?
5. When we buy it, what exactly we receive?

Like I said, I didn't follow the other threads. Anyway, I thing is a good point to make a "summary" of your work.

Thanks in advance.

1. comes as a wrs-file and uses wdl, fx, mdl and skycube
2. its implemented very easy. look at the shop site. there is more info available.
3. as it says on the shop site a6 com/pro since it uses shaders
4. yes, yes, yes
5. you receive a wrs file and a demo-level which shows you how to use it, its really easy

there will be a second edition at 20€ which is no ressource file and thus the user can change everything, even damage the whole thing and get errors;)

@ello - is it possible to make it in some future version so that we can generate our file and just use 'Add Script' to drop it in? Be easier for boneheads like me.

at this point i have to say wait further purchasing because i am doing some great additions right now!

i have found such an easy way to add day/night - transitions which i just implemented. furthermore i will create an exporter which will create ready to use functions. bupaje, i thought about exactly that just 15minutes ago:)

i'll take the buy link off, just to avoid to much update-emails:)

relaunch will be soon

i'll also try to create a video to maybe push decisions for gpu investments;)
