Hi guys!

Initially, we wanted to make this announcement when our game was available in both english and german language (which should hopefully happen in a couple of days) and kind of surprise the A6 community. But now it seems that some of you damn good detectives ( namely Orange Brat and Wormhole ) beat us to it, so there's no use in remaining silent

Few days ago our game Daemonica hit the US shelves and if things go right, it will happen also in couple of days in Germany. Although the game is usually by its looks mistaken for an rpg believe me when I say that it's actualy an adventure

It has already been published in some other european countries as well - Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and Italy. The majority of the reviews there were really good (with the rating varying from 60% to 80%).

There are also some early reviews available in the US (some can be found at this link ) .

There is a demo available for the game that can be downloaded at our US publisher's website - Meridian4 (you have to be from the USA/Canada i believe) and at some other sites ( Softpedia etc. - those are not restricted in any way)

If you're interested, give it a try and if you like it, be so kind and rate it at any major gaming site (gamerankings.com, gamespot.com etc.) As much as we are pleased by the reviews, what we are really interested in is how the players like it.

( ... and if you like it a lot - buy the game and support us - you will have our eternal gratitude! )

And now for the most important part of this long, long post:

This would never be possible without the A6 engine. Thanks go to all the Conitec guys - JCL, Doug, Marco and others. Great job!!

The same goes for the wonderful A6 community. There are so many of you that made our work easier by your contributions to the community! It's impossible to name you all so just a few:

TripleX, Ventilator, Steempipe, Orange Brat, George, ello, Matt ... etc. etc.

Thanks guys, I owe you one!

A note for the GERMAN SPEAKING PLAYERS: a localized german version (with german voiceovers) should be coming out probably in couple of days. It is published by Frogster Interactive AG and the localization is (in my opinion) really great...

Sorry for spoiling the surprise. I didn't know it was an A6 game until Wormhole said something. I knew about it because Adventure Gamers has been hyping the heck out of it.

http://www.adventuregamers.com/gameinfo.php?id=803

There are also a thread running in their hints forum. Since, that's one of the biggest adventure specific sites, you might want to start a thread in their main Adventure forum, too if it already hasn't been started.

Congratulations on the release.

No harm's done, Orange. You know I was just kidding We're not EA or Ubisoft and we don't think that the Earth will stop turning just because we've released a game.

I don't think we will start any other thread (this one is meant just as a big "thank you" to you all) because we believe that it is kind of innapropriate for a developer to post on their own product on forums.

@Firoball: thanks!

It's got ambiance and looks nice The shadows look great and I'm curious to know more about your shadow technique...Is it kind of "fake-bake shadowmap" or a sophisticated projection-code???

Very nice. Well done design and atmosphere. Intriguing story and interesting characters. And the guy doing the voiceover is perfect. I really didn't think I'd play more than a few minutes, but my 60 minute demo ran out before I knew it, and looks like I'll be buying it. I wish there was a first person camera as an option to the adventure game cam, but that's just a personal preference.

Congrats on a very good game.

I clicked on the link the sites opens well but when I click
on the trial version, it says it is not possible to download

I find this very sad because I really wanna congratz you on the demo
like many others already did but for now it's just my comments on the screens I have seen so far and there aren't any comments like you already noticed
so great job Templar !!!!!!!!!!

@frazzle: I believe that some of the download sites (Meridian4 site being one of them) allow only US citizens to download the demo, while other have no restriction. Softpedia (link) is one of them.

Your Publisher misses to sell on the german market with that product.
And to download the demo from the publishers site is not allowed either..
they dont seem to be your smartest choice.
(Demo ist downloadable by various other sites, eg http://www.4players.de/)

Anyhow,
looks like a fine made game. I will just download the demo now, and get more impression on it.
