Larry/Rafu,

Just a few question about the new Intense X version:

In the Past there was a problem in the Beta Version that didn't
work at all when running multiple levels.
I create My Level with a spawn point for the main character to be
Created; can't remember what or why but this would crash
Intense X Beta!

I don't even own A7 yet but will consider updating just to
be able to use Intense X if it will handle the past multiple Level
problem that existed.

PS:
Also for the the Love of God please don't stop work on
Mothers Den....

Make the keys remapable and fix the problem with the camera spinning
with a joystick plugged in. That Was a Game I would actually buy
if it would work with my setup!

Thanks,

*** Teutonic Darkness **

Hello Teutonic,

Intense X Beta didn't support multi-levels out of the box, you'd have to do some programming yourself. That is fixed in this version. Here's all the panels that have to do with level switching gathered up in one screenshot:

Level Panels

You can also see the level switching system at work in the Standoff demo.

Mother's Den is still alive. While I'll be working on further Intense X editions, the rest of my team will be using our tools to develop Mother's Den further. There are some plans to change the name and the scenario for the game, but we're definably not dropping on it..

Ahh ok been a while since I used it..
That was probally the thing I did have my own level load system
that was probally crashing it.

Good Intense X will use its own level loading/switching system.

Great to hear Mothers Den will not be left behind.

Ok.. Ok.. I guess I just need to hurry up and update to
A7... \:\/

Thanks,

Hey Larry,

When will the other versions come out on top of copper? I want to pre order, will there be upgrade options considering I want to use it straight away, but there are no higher versions than copper on the list to be released.

thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

There will be four editions of Intense X released in total. These are Copper, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each edition will eventually show up on the website a month prior to its release, as we did with Copper.

If you're using Intense X Copper for your game, you can upgrade automatically to a later version (ex. Silver) just by installing the newer version to your Gamestudio folder. The cost for upgrading is the difference in price (ex. Copper: 39.99 euro, Silver: 59.99 euro, Upgrade Copper->Silver:20 euro)

Cheers,
Aris

Thanks for the answer Larry.

Have put in my preorder then. So it's expected to be released at the same time as the next public gamestudio beta? Has Conitec given an indication of when they're expecting to ship that out?

Soz have one more question. In the latest beta of gamestudio they have implemented the new decal system. Will Intense X make use of this for bullets and whatnot?

Thanks Again, and look forward to using it.

Matt

Yes, Intense X will be released once the current beta goes public. JCL posted on this a month ago stating 6-8 weeks I believe, I would expect it at the end of this month.
As far as the new decal system, I would not expect this in the first release, I do suspect this will be added later with a free patch.
