Hello everyone,
Today I finished a
new video tutorial which teaches how you can add your
own Goals to the existing Intense X's AI. This means that you can now have Npcs do what they'd normally do in Copper (
Guard and
Attack any hostile Npcs/Player) but people who are now fairly beginners/intermediate with Lite-C can
very easily add their own Goals to formulate their very own AIs. Also, with Intense X's default actions such as '
Move To X', or '
Attack Person X', etc you can create new goals in a matter of seconds.
In this tutorial, I discuss the differences of
Finite State Machines and
Goal Oriented Action Planning (as you can see in the picture below) and then move on to create two
Custom Goals for my AI, '
Patrol' and '
Follow Npc X'.
FSM vs GOAP pictureThe
Custom Goals tutorial can be found in our site's
Tutorial Page and it's
1 hour and 8 minutes in length.
For non-intense X owners, act fast and win yourself a free copy of Intense X by taking part in this contest (fastest person to answer wins).Cheers,
Aris
