Huck Finn School Project...

Here's a little project I did for English class.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jMEswR5MXZI

Featuring:
- Tree's by Loopix
- Sylex3 Bloom
- [my] MultiTex Terrain Shader
- [i think] Loopix Water/or template... (found it somewhere, lol)
- [my] Object Placement script [WIP]
- [somebody's] Skycube [free]
- [my] terrain lightmap generator

I need to better keep track of who made the stuff I find on the net. Ignore the tree's that are just sticking from the side of the terrain, I need to fix that.

I just thought I'd post it here for the hell of it... Let me know what you think...

BTW: I got a 100% on the project

Congrats The atmosphere is there...but I think with a lill bit more input you could have done even better...like:

More randomness and variation for the forest (more model types more different sizes, wind animation).

More other objects (rocks, animals, river boat...and where's Huck??)

It's good...but knowing that you are the almighty scripter in this forum (I mean it seriously), you could have added a lot more action going on in the scenery

Thank you Loopix. Though I strongly disagree, I strongly appreciate your generous comments...

I wrote it in 6 hours, I didn't have time for all the other special effects, though I did want to add them! Planned on adding logs floating down the river, inside of Cabin (fireplace with fire and smoke), blood trail from door to back river, etc... Wasn't planning on adding a Huck though, I don't know where I could find a similar model in time...

I can compile this as an EXE if anyone wants to take a look...

BTW: Loopix, I'm working on a castle level for my latest portal project, and I'm gonna need some plants, lots of 'em! Expect me to contact you soon...

Please compile to an EXE, because somehow youtube isn't cooperating ... it keeps loading and loading and loading, but no movie..

Edit: Nevermind, I've seen it now, pretty cool

Cheers

Hiya.

I couldn't see it...VERY VERY dark. I think you need to calibrate your monitor. I find the vast majority of computer users just crank up Brightness and Contrast and think it's done.

It looks like the trees need a few LOD stages. If there are many trees in view then fps drops down a lot.

Ansonsten recht nice.
