Architecture Visualisation

Hi all
after a long time we finally found a client for our architecture vis-application.

Here are some screenies:

we used following software:

3dsmax for modelling
vray for lightmapping
max2gs for exporting
smee for shading
photoshop for texturing
MED/WED/SED for putting it all together

we had 3 weeks time to got the job done (during our freetime),
which forced us to go through some sleepless nights <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

it's an 12-room penthouse with 2 floors placed at a very privileged
location in zurich.

in the application it is possible to change materials of the bathroom floor and the kitchen.
A Screenshot function is also implemented.

comments and crits are welcome

yes, ambient occlusion and/or radiosity lighting are two incredible methods to light your scene, well done.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

As a goodie we thought to upload the exe file for you.
It is a 50 MB zip-file.
You should at least own a graphic card with 128 MB ram to run the programm.
We haven't tested it yet on a card with 64 MB.

Here you can download it:

Download Kroenlein.zip [50 MB]

cheers

Really this is great work I must say. Just wondering would something like this be practical for use in a FPS? Or is it just too good(detailed) for that?

Great work! Why didn't you animate the fireplaces (without any animation all looks cool and sad).

The exe shows more than any screenshots that this is the magnificent result of a huge effort!
The details are especially impressing! f.i. the luster/lustre.
Hope you will get some feedback from the customer about what his customers say about the demo.

A very small point that I find irritating is the acceleration of the movement.
Maybe, it is because of my fps experience. What do others say about it?

Yes, the detail is great but their is a serious issue I saw.
The fps is heavily lagged on my system but thats to be ecpected.
The issue is directly related to level design where you did not acurately place the blocks but rather, overlapped them causing the textures of some elements to 'flicker' in and out of camera view depending on distance and angle to the camera.
This for me, ruined the result and I point it out to you so that you may reconsider your level designing to give clean results in future publications.
Otherwise, it is the best visualisation in GStudio I have seen

You probably mean the lower rim of one of the windows, or did you see others, too?

I think when working in sleepless nights you can't avoid such things.
