Hi, I made some tests that I want to share with you. I'm graphist and the following test is only to see what I can create and include in 3dgs. The code is parts of codes taked from the forum.(except the character shadowing made by myself, but I'm a poor programmer...) I've made 3d models with maya and textures with photoshop. If a programmer is interesses to work with me, leave a message ;\)

A movie : http://game.irilys.eu/olivier/hys_mov.wmv

The files : http://game.irilys.eu/olivier/hys.rar
(3dgs v7.06)

Open and run PrjXtest.wdl

Nice work on the video. Although, I would have liked to play it myself... but the Unsupported Feature error kills one with the Extra Edition...

I like the character and animation, and honestly the movement code doesn't look half bad.

I really like the gerneral style of the game, though thera are some things to improve:

1. When pressing the shift key animation stops.
2. The camera continuously gets to close to the ground so you can see the polys from below.
3. The camera angle is not ideal. You have the choice between a sufficient angle of view and accepting the graphic errors or seeing none of the landscape.
4. The character fits very well in the environment, however his skin is somehow to shiny for the rest of the world.

Always learn from history, to be sure you make the same mistakes again...

I'd love to help but I'm not a very experienced programmer :(.

what a funny character !!!! It looks like a big "snorky" (an old cartoon of 80's)
Maybe increase the height value of the camera to avoid graphics errors.
Nice job.
regards

I like the cartoony look, the main player blends really well into the entire environment like Uhrwerk
mentioned ;\) ;\)
The most important thing you need to improve is the camera, you can easily solve this by making a collision system for the camera to detect the level scene.
Anyway, bon boulot indeed \:\) \:\)

Cheers

Thx all but as I wrote, I'm not programmer but graphist and actualy I'm looking for someone to create a little project.
