I've been going crazy trying to figure out why my tree models look great on my laptop (non-T&L card), but have no alpha transparency on my desktop (Radeon 8500DV). Then I stumbled upon d3d_transform in the manual and that did the trick. Turning d3d_transform off made the alpha transparency kick in for my tree models. Then turning the d3d_transform back on left the tree models unchanged (i.e. with alpha transparency working).

I can't imagine that switching between d3d_transform modes is a good thing in-game. Can anyone tell me why this work around worked and what the better solution is??

Thanks in advance...

Peter

I have not actually got A6 so im not to sure but if i remember reading correct then you need to use tga files for transparency. Maybe it is releated to d3d_transform. The other thought is it could be a problem with your graphics drivers so i would make sure you have the most upto date drivers.

Just some quick thoughts [Wink]
