New images

Hey,
this picture shows the engine's shader functions and lighting. The model shadows are actually standard A7. Enjoy =D

If you want to impress this community, you have to show something more as a blank tunnel. Also it is not normal or right to post two threads about the same project into the gallery forum, when nothing is wrong with your old thread.
The picture is not impressive because:
- There is nothing that can't be done without an external plugin. The normalmapping is nice, but the scene lacks of "great" eyecandy effects
- The light is casted without any source (by the way)
- the barrel in the background is too shiny
- The A7 stencil shadow is ugly, and of course it is compatible

If you don't release a video or a demo, you can be sure, that nobody belives you, that you have done such an shader engine. Or that everybody belives that the engine is ... not good ..., because you don't show something special.
MfG,
Patrick

To be honest: I don't understand the excitement of this image.

The textures look bad. The normal map looks like made very fast with CrazyBump, resulting in artifical non-existing shapes within a texture.

The lighting is strange. At the far left it looks like there is a light source but the ceiling above has no light at all and the fall-off of the light looks not believable.

The shadow is not worth any comments.

I would like to turn this post into something more constructive though:
I am sure you can do much better with good textures, better lighting and a better scene. Take your time for such details! Check your scene often and compare it with fotos or images from professionial games and you will see that your images needs alot of polishment to compete.
But I am sure, it is possible if you just go into some details or if you contact a person loving details and willing to help you.

I don't want to discourage you with your engine development, but this screen does not meet the gallery requirements. Please post about your engine in the Projects forum. When you have something impressive to show, you can post here.
