Hey, I've a few areas of my map as sub levels, and everything works nicely, except for one small quirk with the lighting.... When a player walks into an area of darkness in the sublevel, they remain at full brightness. I've tried putting the lights within the sublevel or globally, i can get realistic shadows from the level geometry, and realistic model stencil shadows, but just no change in entity brightness. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

On a side note, i was considering a dodgy work-around; trace down, get the texture brightness, and adjust to match... i can't seem to make the entity darker... i can tint it brighter using light and RGB, but i can't seem to crank down the light?

thanks for you help!

First thing i tried... can make it brighter... can make it a little bit dimmer. stand in a dark room with ambient = -1000, and it still looks way to bright.
