Hi!

I have not been around here for a long time and was wondering if there was anybody in this forum, who is studying at Oregon State University. I ask this because I have the opportunity to go there for 3 to 6 months next year. At the moment I’m studying mechanical engineering in Friedrichshafen/Germany. Oregon State University is one of our partner universities, because they are also constructing a formula racing car, where I’d also participate in.

I’d like to do this to improve my bad (written) English and to get to know maybe a beautiful country with nice people, but I’m also some kind of afraid to go there and feeling a bit lost there. Maybe someone of you reading this might give me a little advice or tell his own experience about being there or doing a similar thing.

you're studying in friedrichshafen? a friend of mine is enrolled in the zf there and is currently spending half a year abroad in detroit. where exactly are you studying?

I'm studying at the "Berufsakademie Ravensburg/Friedrichshafen" mechanical engineering as dual studies, which means that half of the year I spend in my company and in the other half I'm doing the theoretical stuff at university. Best thing about that is that I get paid for studying and it's not that theoretical as usual. In addition I earn my bachelor degree in 3 years.
