according to the manual:

string s[30];
...
str_for_num(s,sqrt(2));

I can set a var value into the string

now using:

STRING* se[30];
...
var kk=40;
str_for_num(se,kk);

just returns:

"Invalid arguments in Lite-c: STRING"

(definintion in afuncs.h)
EXT STRING* F(str_for_num)(STRING*,var);

The manual is just explaining the old C-Script!

Can anyone explain me how to store a var value into a string in Lite-C ?

Just look in the manual and you find an example for all functions. Maybe you have an old A6 manual?

I have the Lite-C manual from the free Lite-C, and in this
there is only the C-scipt syntax.

Anyone can please write the working syntax for Lite-C?

Why dont you read my response and the link that I posted?

The A7 manual contains lite-C examples and no C-Script.

The Manual in the Lite-C disrtibution is simply not
updated, that is the problem.

I found the solution in the online version.

I know how to read the manual, but how should I know
that certain parts are not updated in the distribution?

btw: If you are so smart you could have also pointed out the
correct syntax...

I have lite-C also and that manual is precisely the same as the A7 manual, just the first page and some pages at the end are different.

Therefore I must stand by my assumption that you just have a too old manual.

I think its better to point you towards using the current manual because otherwise with an old manual, you will run into the next problem very soon.

I have the manual from the current free Lite-C (Lite-C 1.10) distribution and no old A6 manual...

No, the free lite-C 1.10 is the same that I also have and that manual is up to date.

You can see on the first page of the manual, in the red bar, that it is for version 1.10.
