Hi

I am really getting the hang of Blender, I actually like it.
However, I have a fundamental question about Games modelling.

In Blender there are several ways to smooth your mesh. Which is the most suitable for low poly games models ? I assume you can't use sub-surface smoothing ?

Can you recommend any tutorials specifically for games modelling. The web seems awash with Blender tutorials and it can be a bit overwhelming.

Thank you
ps: is 'modelling' spelt like this or with just one 'l' ie 'modeling' ?

Quoting dracula.

That may be a fair assumption for in game usage.
However, with at least one form, the smoothing can be made 'permanent' prior to export.

Some low-poly tutorials not written specifically for Blender can be used with Blender, or converted, if both the functions of the other program and the equivalent work flow procedures in Blender are known.

'I' believe modeling is actually spelled both ways.

just set everything to "set smooth" (circled in black) under editing mode (cicled in black) Thats about the only way your going to see the efficient in game way to make it look smooth, things like sub-surf exported will actually modify the geometry and add(heavily, like multiplied by 4) to the poly count.
