I won a copy of GameSpace a while ago for an AUM contest, I'd like to give it to a friend. From a legal standpoint is there anything I need to do to change the registered ownership of the serial number? Or as long as it's uninstalled from my pc can I just send him the cd and serial code?

This is a normal license transfer, so you can just register the new name with Caligari, and send him the CD.

jcl, Calligari responded "we no longer support it, so we cannot transfer the liscense" (in case you're curious he was giving it to me). Is there anything that can be done on conitec's end? Do you think it would still be fine to use it anyway?

I guess this answer means that you can give it to a friend and they won't care. Caligari was aquired by Microsoft for developing a 3D editor. They don't support gameSpace any further, but of course, the license is still valid.
