Thats a great thread. It really seems like we had a bit too much hate around here - not necessarily in the attitude of people - after all, we still help each other out in the non-morbius-forums - but in the threads we had. Am I allowed to mention the "The State of this Community"-thread here, or shall those words never be spoken again, now, that the thread has been banned and condemned to the deepest reaches of ... the... archive? Okay, so that doesn't sound as amazing as I intended it to be.

Anyway, it's no surprise that one of the major advantages about this toolkit is actually the great community - always helpful, insanely quick with replys, and full of thoughtful, intelligent people, from all over the world. It's a heartwarming thought that whatever the time, there probably are some of us around in this forum, and while maybe not that much of a rare trait of forums, combined with the high level of this one, it might stand as an always-listening, always-awake cloud of wisdom slowly floating above these grounds in the greater internet plains (in which cats (and, lets be honest here, other things) are never too far away, usually with a piece of text nearby). It's hard for me to say, what with all that "Grim and bitter"ness I am now contractually forced to be, but this community is, all raging hate about ignored threads by me (Why do you all never play my games frown ) aside, really amazing.

I'll keep myself from mentioning single people, since it's always about who you forget and not who you add (Alas, I am not mentioned in the original post, which comes as no great surprise since not only is my username incredibly hard to remember, but I am also not that active these days. No hard feelings, though, Trinitro! Because ONE DAY I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE.) However, I join the ranks of those checking in on this forum every day, for it is an addicition that will one day truly drive me to death, or insanity (although it might be said that the latter already happened).

Sometimes, I wish that we'd allow for a little less serious tone in conversations, something to lighten up the mood and only intended as a joke (wouldnt that be a godsend in endless bashing-threads?), but since being too open to this kind of thing also increases the spamrate at astronomical rates, I guess we better keep it this way. Still, we do have those kind of posts every once in a while - and we have testdummy wink - so I guess I'll be fine.

So, thank you, forum (and thank you Michael, for kindly mentioning me!)!

Semirelated: Some of the projects of you guys are really cool, and I love to see the crazy concepts we sometimes come up, or the amazing style we use.
And if desired, one might find videos made by our good friend ulillillia on Youtube.

Next on my thread-wishlist: A cooking thread. Someone should open it with pictures of a meal he or she recently prepared. Someone create something like this, NOW! I DEMAND IT!

Edit: It's still not there. I hate this place.

Perhaps this post will get me points for originality at least.

Check out Dungeon Deities! It's amazing and will make you happy, successful and almost certainly more attractive! It might be true!

Samuel Anjam - Guy who's passionate on his goals and works hard for them.
TriNitroTolyene - is someone who can say good things with pure heart without another thought.
Frank and PHeMoX - This pairing can be frustrating, but still can't but love the way they bring their thoughts out and speak from what they think is right.

I can't single out others right now, but I have to say this is rare place where the active ones are smart and say things as they are without any mumbling or rounding the topic wink

Saying nice things about eachother is a great idea smile smile
Even though I never experienced any tension personally on this forum before, it would be ackward for me to not say anything about the users I respect wink wink
But even if I had already experienced some 'negative comments' on this forum, I would still have inputted my two cents towards those which I respect. The reason for this is simple, just look at Michael his post.

Oke, here we go:

- Adoado:
My number one gamestudio buddy (he knows why) laugh laugh
He's superbe at developing dlls smile smile

- Shinobi:
A great programmer, I always loved his retro-games smile smile

- Vlau:
Smart and a very talented programmer as well.
His many salutary code snippets made alot of users happy smile smile

- Mercuryus:
Ah yes, the man with a plan ^^
You rock when it comes to small projects, intelligence is the proper word here.

- Guitar:
I miss him already, our Guitar hero grin grin
He loved complicated stuff, just look at his diploma. Smart guy !

- Frank:
A really family guy if you ask me, he knows what he wants smile smile
Not only talented as an artist/modeler, but also as a father.

- D3D:
Like the name indicates (if I'm correct) a DX fan (and especially D3D related) ^^
I think he's quite acknowleged with D3D theory smile smile

- Slin:
What would be do with THE shader goeroe of the 3dgs forum atm laugh laugh
Just look at his lastest shader and you'll get the point ^^

- Havok:
Another shader goeroe (yes we got two of them cool cool)
Keep up being smart, we need your shader collection ^^

- Ello:
Say what, another shader goeroe, that makes 3 ^^
Your shader effects were always quite intriging wink wink

- Matt Aufderheide:
You got to be kidding me, shader goeroe number 4 laugh laugh
I said 4 but actually I should say 1 when refering to Sphere 1 & 2.
He's the man who made soft shadows ready for 3dgs smile smile

- Chris:
No, don't say it's true, we got 5 shader goeroes wOOT ^^
Your rtt plugin opened alot of possibilites, we can't thank you enough smile smile

- Joey:
Ohhhohhh, I know the answer, shader goeroe number 6 laugh laugh
His posts were always learnful, very intelligent user !

- Lostclimate:
I think this guy is capable of anything. Script, models, level design, you name it wink wink
Interesting user ^^

- Ventilator:
One word, light mapper smile smile
Professional appearance !

- Spike:
Probably the most extra-vagent user of the forum but that makes him even more special (+ his love for cell shading) wink wink
Nevertheless, Spike knows actually what he wants, a real competent user.

- Fastlane:
If there isn't any MP question this guy can't answer, no one can wink wink
That statement says it all !

- Firoball & TWO:
Two of the best programmers around here smile smile
If they can't solve it arithmeticly then it probably is a bug ^^

- Aztec:
A good guy who listens to comments and has the potential to learn fast wink wink

- Orange Brat:
To me believes, one of the most repected users on this forums and also one of the most experienced users wink wink
And he loves to make us all waiting for his beloved project laugh laugh

- Joozey & Phemox & Dennis & Realspawn & Excessus:
How could I forget my neighborns from upstairs grin grin
You all presented the Netherlands at a proper way wink wink
Expect for the paddos, joints, spacecakes and ... but that didn't disturb me actually laugh laugh

- Nitro:
Keep up posting in this forum, I enjoy your models and posts (expecially this one) smile smile
One advice though, don't explode please laugh laugh

- Inestical:
Smart man, just look at his interpolation code wink wink

- Zwecklos:
Nobody will forget the 'Bie' project, graphical it was amazing smile smile
Together with his mate, they stand for two of the best artist around here (+Frank of course) wink wink

- Andvari:
Probably the best low poly modeler of the 3dgs forum smile smile
Your creative mind brought stunning work, models with a fluent polyflow and subtitle textures wink wink

- Oliver:
I loved him as a mod but also for his view behind shaders and especially during the period when he was developing Ice wink wink
Intelligent man !

- Nems:
Very experienced user, serious in all of his actions, ...
To be short, we miss you wink wink

- Test Dummy:
His posts are legendary, full of irony but brilliant at the same time wink wink
You can't get more (in)famous then this guy laugh laugh

- DavidLancaster:
Another great programmer smile smile
He handles his scripts with love and care but with a very high level of technical precision wink wink

- Jumpman:
The revelation of the past weeks wink wink
Animations are his second nature smile smile

- Error:
The scientist of this forum, at least according to his experimental features grin grin
Intelligence is what shapes his attitude ^^

- Gorthaur:
My half-mate from Belgium (he knows why wink wink )

- @ the entire Conitec staff (especially Jcl and Doug):
So many years of development but yet you all still succeed in crafting a piece of art, update by update wink wink
Thank you for all the hard work, you founded the foundation of the great/unique community smile smile !

I probably missed some people thus don't think that I preset anything of this, I used random thinking wink wink
Btw, I hope the rules on this board don't mention anything about a max. amount of smilies whistle whistle ^^

Cheers

Frazzle

Rite, let me add some other people:

Kihaku - or Kiyaku if you will, a fun guy whose Endless And Mysterious Ideas I use pretty much. Helped me to create design papers for LoL (Land of Lies).
ello - I think one of the most recognized people in the forums. His contributions have helped me alot!
Blade and Frazzle - Always happy to comment and critize on everything. The best feedback machines in the forums. Thanks to both of you wink
ventilator - Intelligent and ingenious man.
DavidLancaster - Here we have another great man. Silent, but still one of the best, at least on my books.
OB - He doesn't post much, but when he does, it's always on topic, important or interesting to read.
