For a racing game or a 1st-person game (shooter?) I don't think you should implement AI. Some good managed triggers and a pathfinding (for the shooter) should do it.

Hi everybody.I guess i find the cool method for ai in racing games. But i don't know how to realize it yet. So... the car is rolling on the road and it has its own path but when the road is blocked the car must drive by blockin object(just don't cross over the borders)... Am i on the right way?=) I want to hear from you some advises...

Now add a statemashine to handle what action the car currently follows (drinvin staigth to next node, detecting a block, finding the best way arround, set point beneath the path to drive arround, drive to block, return to path).
With the path (and waypoints) you can also manage the position calculation).
Here's a techdemo of such a racing game with paths:
(you see the human controlled car)
PS: to give the cars more AI you should let them brake/accelerate with blocking obstacles.
