People tried to run similar e-zines, and while they were excellent items, they were usually on a cost/issue basis. You have been providing this excellent service for the 3DGS community, for FREE, starting with A4 about 8 years ago!

You've taken us through 4 versions of the engine, scrupulously documenting new changes, engine beta features, answering questions, interviewing those who have successfully (or very nearly) completed professional products with 3DGS, and given us game design workshops to boot!

Thank you for the kind words. While it is true that I have written hundreds of articles and code snippets for free, JCL has kindly decided to compensate some of my work several years ago. There are things that I still run for free, such as Acknex Unlimited, the contests, etc but I am happy to be a part of this great community.

I was fairly certain you were getting some kind of consideration from JCL & Co., but the difference is, it wasn't something that ran only based on subscriptions from the start.

And, all the time taken to search the forums for those questions, come up with an answer, and test it prior to 'publishing' it, researching and writing the articles adds up.
