Hi, My names Ryan Gregory and Im an experienced modeler, texturer and to some extent animator. I'm looking for paid work making textured models, I can animate but am not the best so please keep that in mind. I can model and texture almost anything organic or inorganic. I have worked for several clients and all have been very satisfied with my work.

If interested please contact me through email - ryangregory@hotmail.co.uk, or through a PM. I'd like to hear your payment offer and the amount of work you are wanting in the message.

examples of my work can be seen at www.ryans3dart.weebly.com, although it needs updating.

Thanks for looking, Ryan.

getting freelancing work is difficult, and most likely, most of your jobs are going to need to be gotten thru replying to jobs offered. Once in a while you get lucky off a post like this but not often.

Thanks for the reply. I'm starting to realise how difficult it is, youd think people would be looking for modelers for their games though. ah well.

they are, they're just very unwilling to pay even though your project will proceed much quicker putting just a couple hundred into it. I don't understand some of these kids. They have no expenses, so a mcdonalds job could put money enough get a nice base that they are vested enough in to not quit. I am 20 now and have had to pay rent for 4 years, I can only think of what life woulda been like if I had no bills for the first 2 years.

Please send me your rates and what software you are proficient in. Can you work with .BVH animation files? We have over 4,000 motion captured animations we need to work with. I went to your web site and I love your work. Send me a private email and I will then turn you over to our Art Director with what he needs to have done. This is a serious request, our Art Director won 27 international awards last year alone and is one of the greatest artists on the internet, it is his look and feel with his superior textures that will win us acclaim. We are fully funded with test servers and 4 licenses to 3DGS.
The reason people don't hire modelers for a system like this is that it is way too complicated for most people. They have a great idea to make a video game and then Holy Chit reality bites and they realize that 1 person or even 2 can't do it all. Just because they have sold 125,000 copies don't mean squat. In reality only 1 to 2 percent ever get anywhere. Most people try to write a game by using models already done and given away plus they try to copy/paste the source from all of the examples and of course it never works right.
You have the same problem with all of the cheap game engines, Torque, 3DGS, and the many others that are being sold and/or are currently in production.
Oh by the way! Open a store on Second Life and make your stuff to sell in Second Life. Real big there are tatoos, clothes and other models. Cars, Airplanes and Boats are getting very popular. There is even an Airline going in to take you from place to place instead of teleporting. Awesome stuff. A great book we got at Amazon is "creating your world - the official guide to advanced content creation for second life" ISBN: 978-0-470-17114-1
Have fun and get back to me.
