Hero Engine

Look really good no pricing that I can find, I bet it costs a lot.

been around for a very long time.

How do you purchase this new 3d mmo engine.

Look to the license sheet. They are obviously not interested on indie
developers.

I have contacted them before. I dont know if its still like this. I havent been to the site in some time. They used to have a form you fill out, and they ask you your game idea, so on so on. You submit that, and they will get back to you on your options about using Hero Engine. And I can tell ya, they bother ya for about 2 weeks about it. Then they leave you alone. Hero Engine is outstanding. But this isnt template programming here. You must learn the language to use it.

Game engine has quite a few priceplans but most are like this (All in USD)

Worldwide licence(to distribute) $950,000 and $200,000/year for support

Worldwide licence $525,000 plus 7.5% royalty (to them) and $115,000/year for support

You could go for a Prototype license – The prototype license gives you access to the full engine and support, they host a dedicated server on their side where you will be able to build a prototype of your game. The duration of the license is 6 months, the cost is $100,000.

It is alot of money, where our company is taking the leap =S We are still currently looking for funding, though once we get the HD trailer up, we can invest £50,000GBP, get a prototype licence then build a better and awesome demo...

From that we can get investments for the full sum without royalties, then we will rule the world...

Btw the Hero engine is awesome... if you know how to use it...
you will need to re-program to suit your needs, which means that you need to research on C++ and 3D game engine programming, though the language will not be the exactly the same as C++ as they have written it in their own language.

We do have a decent size team atm...

They have been designing the game engine for over 5 years... though only have been selling for 1-2...

Btw if u go for that $300,000.00 offer, you will need to spend $235,000 for support... without royalties...

Though then you will need their other programmes used in it... like Speedtree...all the other software you will need will cost well over £100,000.00

And Btw Im English, only using USD cus they allways put it in that way.
