I hope you tried a demo of milkshape first to see if it worked. You can't import with the demo, iirc

Work got cancelled for today. I just found something. MED can actually import .x files. I did not know that. So you don't actually have to buy milkshape. Just export .x from your modeller, import into MED, and save as a .mdl. The only thing I found about this method that wasn't cool, is that the bone manipulations I did on the model in max, were all reset. Which means that all the models I posed in max have to be all reposed and animated. Double work! I will check and see if the same results occur if I used milkshape. I'll do that in about an hour, and let you know the results, although I have a hunch... Let me not even think about that.
