I am having a great deal of trouble with polygon sorting utilizing mdl format. Is there something that I'm missing? I'm going from 3D Studio Max to MED. I have tried about 15 different export attempts to fix this.
Polygons are still rendering okay in the editor but not so well in the game. So for example-- an arm is visible through the model's body. I've even cut the model up into various parts in the hopes that that will aid rendering-- but no luck.
Sometimes a MAX to MDL conversion goes haywire where some faces are reversed. Try to locate the reversed faces in MED then invert and you should be alright.
Sometimes people use a tga skin on one model, this will also result in the effect you report. Grab a 'z sorting' script to add or apply to the model if this is the case, from the WIKI.
