Hello everyone, I haven't used 3DGS for a few years now... just kinda gave up. I was looking at the site today, looks like Lite-C is the new big addition... If I wanted to try and get back into this, is the free/payed version of Lite-C the way to go for a beginning hobbyist, or am I looking at something more like the extra version of the full A7 package? I'm not new to programming in general, just not terribly good at it, and would prefer the easiest package to work with. Thanks!

Yes the free lite-C version is a good start for a beginner, it has no WED and lacks some features of the full version but its upwards compatible to the full A7.

I you have A6 you can still build levels in WED and use the Lite_C language instead of WDL.
This includes the free version of Lite_C.

No you cant combine A6 and lite-C. The free lite-C version cant load A6 levels. You need the WED from A7.

No you don't.Look at my W.I.P rubicks cube game (www.rrae.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/rubicks1.rar)
The cube was made in A6 WED and actions from Lite_c applied to cubes.
In map properties just give your map your Lite_c script.
Click on the centre cube on a face with either the left or right mouse button to rotete it.

Ok maybe I was wrong. I always got "format not supported" when I tried to load my A6 levels with the free lite-C version but that was more than a year ago.
