Sometimes when using running a level or using WED my screen goes black for a few seconds and then when it comes back it has a message at the left of the start bar where the icons and time are saying my R300 Display Driver stopped responding.

Any one get similar problems and/or knows a solution.

I am running vista ultimate 32 bit, dunno my graphics card.

I am running in Aero Mode

yeah, when i play games like crysis at high settings about 7-8 hours. GPU overheats and driverstops.(btw diffrent gpu)

It's weird, i think it could be running Aero might just be too much strain.

It's only 128Mb graphics, 1 GB Ram, 1.6 Ghz CPU

well running aero on 128mb r300 is not a very good idea at all.

r300 seems to be a bitchy chip, it crashes all the time on linux, and vista doesn't seem to be too happy about it either. xp works fine for me though.
blade, the specs you gave sound pretty much like a notebook i own, which doesn't support the latest ati drivers out of the box. i use the modder app to install the driver on the laptop, but i dunno if it works for vista.

I used driver max to update the driver. It was slightly outdated.
