I recently had problems in tracking down why lens flare for the sun had disappeared when using a sky hemisphere MODEL in conjunction with a 'sky' declaration. I tracked the problem down to my having checked the 'solid sky' option. Unchecking this returned lens flare to normal operation.

Maybe Marco could comment whether this is expected behaviour - I hesitate to call it a bug.
