hi ello,
what for a harddrive is it ?
"www.Heise.de" wrote this days that Seagate-drives have big problems and dont boot anymore from one day to another under certain circumstances.
Its a bug in the firmware. They released a patch but took it away as users kills their HD faster with it as before.
The data are still OK only the firmware denieds the Access. In one of the first statements Seagate spoke from the Possibility to send them the HD and they restore the data.
I have such a HD too and hope that Seagate found a solution for this very close. In the Meantime I thank God each day my computer starts up.
Here are the HD's -Barracuda 7200.11 -Diamond Max 22 -Barracuda ES.2
