Ceo's Quest

Hi folks,
Here some screenshots from our latest project Ceo's Quest.
This game was made for an event which is taking place in the CEO's mansion of the company for which we created the game.
We had to build up the mansion in a way that it looks similar to the mansion in real life.

The employees of that company will play this game and the goal of the game is to give the employees the idea of how it is to be a CEO in an ironic way.

The player has to organize a meeting and has to talk to all 16 employees which are placed all over the enviroment.
There is also a little jump parcour in the basement in order to close the pool cover (to force the lazy employees to take part at the meeting).

Anoher task is to get the technician building up a TV station in the meeting room. The phone is ringing all the time to keep the player busy and to show how stressful the life of a CEO can be.

Video:

Enjoy. Coments and critics are welcome.

Cheers

I want that mansion smile

On the last shot I noticed some non fitting texture seams, but it's not really wild.
What I don't like so much is that the actors look like pasted in afterwards. MEaning they look like photographs, but the environment does not. Maybe some brightness/gamma rework would have helped here? I'm not good at modeling.

Let's stop the nitpicking. It seems to be a well made game with a nice game idea and lots of small details.
Well done.

It has a clean professional look. The most important in such tasks! And I guess that it meets all the restrictions and needs of the customer.
If you have time left to make it more comfortable, more lovable, I would give the shadow maps more contrast, and add an orange touch of sunlight colour.

Firoball mentioned the persons not fitting with the environment, maybe, you can bake in an Ambient Occlusion shadow into the persons skin, and place a shadowsprite beneath their feet.

Scaling the texture down of the cellar's columns would help to give an absurd room an authentic appearance.

In real, bushes and trees often look darker than the grass. I would darken them all a bit. Exaggerating the contrast of their textures helps too.

An example that might be close to your mansion:

The amount of details is impressing. I guess the customer is satisfied. smile

Hi thanks for your comments.

Well the gameplay is quite simple: find all 16 employees in a certain amount of time and get the technician build up the tv in the conference room, thats all.
Its not a big game, just a little application made for an single event.

agree... they look like pasted in... we wanted to add a shadowsprite but we didn't have time in the end.
There are a few improvements which could add alot more "love" to this project but got lost on the way.

for example a lil' bit of artificial intelligence for the employees making them walking around the area instead of just standig somewhere, and then of course walking to the meeting room instead of just "beaming" themselves there.

We like the cellar with its big texture... the cellar is the only part of the house which is not build after the reference house. so we liked the more game-like appereance there.

yep the grass-texture is a bit dark... but thats because its very juicy and strong swiss grass laugh jk

here is a homepage of that mansion, but the images don't show the mansion very well:

Even if there are small gaps,
it looks like good old "Schweizer Präzisionsarbeit".
