Hello,
Thats not true, a 32 bit application does not use "only 32 bits of the processor", it uses the same bits of the
processor as a 64 bit application,
No you have note right. If you have a 32 bit OS and a 64 bit Processor, the processor only use the the 32 bit of his Buses (adressbus, databus , etc) and thats the reason why you only can use 4 GB RAM. If you have 64 Bit OS it use the procesor use the 64 Bit of his buses. If you start a 32 Bit application in a 64 bit OS, the application runs in a Simulation of a of a 32 Bit OS (32 Bit Environment) so that you have the same limits.
Drawback is that it wont run anymore under XP, Vista or any other 32 bit OS.
Yes thats right. But why buy nobody 64 bit OS? The most people have a 64 bit processor but no 64 bit OS, but Why? I have read the Microsoft will sell his new OS (Windows 7) primery as 64 BIt OS so it will change this fact.
If it not Possible to build a 32 Bit aplication wiht a 64 Engine (application) ( for a example with a switch before the bulding or so)?
