Hi,
I own a copy of LightWave since a few days and have some questions about exporting to Gamestudio.

Some years ago, I ordered some LightWave video tutorials for character animation from Lost Pencil. (I used Cinema 4D at that time).

Paul uses Lightwave with some plugins in order to export his textured animated Hero to MDL (version 5, I think). Vertex Animation...

Later there was a hot discussion about greenbriarstudio in the Gamestudio Commuinity Forum - hey, you can only search 3 years back in time...

I wonder if these plugins are still usefull these days, if they work at all with LightWave 9.6 and if it makes sence to use them.

Well, it was possible to export a game level created in LightWave as .wmp file for gamestudio. But Conitec decides to change the .wmp file format later.

Would be nice, if someone could update my knowledge a bit.

The mentioned plugins from greenbriarstudio can be found on the wiki with a simple search for LightWave.

Best regards,
Michael

One of those plugins is able to export map files which could be imported into WED. Is this still working with A7 as it was with the early A6?
