Hey guys,
I have been looking into Gamestudio to build a smallish (10-20 players or so, maybe more if it takes off) online rpg idea that we have had for awhile.

It really looks like a great way to start into game programming and learning C at the same time, a skill that is transferable to another technology if we outgrow GS some how.

What I am wondering though is if we start with the free edition of lite-c and start writing code today, will we be able to then bring our project into the commercial version of a7 with out any issues? I just want to make sure that I will stick to this and that Gamestudio will work well for me before I commit to buying a license. Basicly I want to know if the code is compatible and easy to upgrade to commercial version.

Thanks!
-Tim

Hello Tim,

Yes, the lite-C code will be 100% compatible with any GameStudio version. Nevertheless, GameStudio includes a level editor, which would make your life much easier.
