I was at this 50's styled hamburger place and they have these cardboard classic cars to serve french fries in for kids. I thought they were really neat and asked the waitress for one. Then I decided to take it apart, model it, UV map it and texture it. This is still a WIP, but here are some screen shots (if you are interested):
Here is the car laid flat (unfolded):
Here it is folded and then put together:
I still have a bit of work to do, like modeling the bottom of the car. And I have to create an environment for it and then I can render it.
The model was completed in a few hours in Luxology's modo.

Hey Dan, got to love those old cars. Reminds me of the first car I can recall my Dad having. It was a Plymouth with huge fins in the back and a push-button transmission.
A neighbor of mine when I was a kid use to build these big towns out of cardboard cut outs of buildings just for dioramas. I don't think he used them as train backgrounds at all. Just seems to have been a hobby of the times. I recall they had cars and all much like your model there.
I remember during the Apollo landings some years later Texaco gas stations were handing out paper models of the Lunar Lander, man that sure brings back memories. I think I could be getting old.
