Hello,

I don't know if you know the other big 3D GameStudio forum which exsists since a few years. 3DGS Users Voice

In order to keep this forum alive, we need some more action over there. Dan Silverman, Rhuarc and others where active there some years ago, but now the forum seems to die. And all the assets, knowledge and history with it.

A small group of game developers wants to start a small racing game project in hope of a new start for that forum.

What we would need is just a bit more fresh ideas, current project - just more live.

See the other forum as sister/brother forum of this one. There is no competion between them.

Well, I hope this request does not violate some forum rules here. But as I said, it is all one big community at two places. Same people here and there.

Just take a few minutes to watch over there and maybe you put in some fresh ideas - which is all I ask for.

Best regards,
-- slacer

Why do we need two forums? Wouldn't it be easier, when we all used one forum?

remember me? bet you don't. i'd like to know whether shadowfire is still such a dick over his head admin position, maybe that's the reason why so many members left...

Yeah, but... Who is Lu?

I've never been to that other forum, but I agree... why do we need more than one? wink

Anyways, you've probably noticed yourself, but the forums here also sort of has less and less activity going lately...

Cheers

It is always sad if this happens to a website.
I just don't like the idea to switch it off and throw all assets away.

You can make people move to another forum, but the forum history can't be moved.
But you are right. A forum without community is like a dead horse - it takes you nowhere.

3dgsuv could change form, while this one exists another forum wont be popular of course. It could be better if 3dgsuv was another type of community site instead of forum. (i mean maybe a blog/site that collects usefull links, tracks the current projects of users, interviews and such like an online mag or something like that.)

detailed user profiles would be nice, with a list of projects per user, etc. etc. Be creative rather then begging for users. A good product will sell itself.

I don't have a homepage, for god's sake!

Hi checkbutton,
I am just a user of both sites and just asked if you know the other forum already.

Some users there asked for a project to keep the forum alive, but I think there is another time flow over there.

But their memberlist shows about 4000 Users, so I think this posting is more a wake-up call for existing users of that forum here than begging for new users.
Or do you think these 4000 members are not registered here, too?

-- greetings
