Hi guys

Its been a looooong time since ive been on the forum! Almost 2 years have passed since I released my first game and I am going to start my new one soon. Only with this one I am going to implement some basic shaders. The target market doesn't usually have good pc's so Im looking to do the following.

I need a very basic Normal Map shader. I need info about the range of options I have. From basic 1 light (usually sunlight) source, to more complex ones. Can I get one in shader 1.x?

What are my options for self shadowing? What shader do I need? How do I run it parallel with a normal map shader, and maybe others?

What about specularity? Ive tested a normal map shader I found on the wiki, and it seems like specularity is part of it? How do I get a normal bump map effect without specularity?

Sorry for all the questions, Im delving into unfamiliar territory here. Any help will be appreciated!

Regards

Thanks, but this appears to be A7 only.

Also, can someone perhaps answer some of the questions I have?

look up the face wound hlsl tutorials, and then take a quick look over the manual (under the effect command) that should help you at least get started.
