Hi there,
at the moment i´m creating a little rpg. I created the world added an npc and have already a conversation. Now i´m thinking about how to create a simple quest system.

But i have no idea at the moment so i want to ask you if you have any ideas or suggestions?

It´s a singleplayer game and the player has the player pointer. very simple at all smile

Thanks for help

Well you could use structs similar to this:
Code:
typedef struct
{
  int typeOfReq; //Kill Monsters? Collect Item? Deliver goods? etc...
  int whichObjectIsNeeded;
  int howMuchObjectsNeeded;
  int numberCollected;
} QUESTREQ;

typedef struct
{
  int QuestID;
  STRING* QuestName;
  STRING* QuestDescription;
  bool isActive;
  QUESTREQ** requirements;
  bool accomplished;
} QUEST;

Now you pack all your quests in an array of QUEST.
Just an idea how to organize the needed informations needed for the quests.

greetings

Ok wow it seems good. But i´m still programming in C-Script not in lite-c and a few things are not visible for me. Could you please post your script in c-script? maybe just a few parts however you like.

But thanks anyway for answering smile

PS: Whyever, the topic was moved from C-Script section to lite-c programming section. smile

Well that would be problematic for me as I don't know C-Script at all.
I ain't sure if C-Script supports structs so I don't know if this might be as easy as in Lite-C there.
Sorry can't help you with C-Script here frown

What would then be a way to create a system like this?
