not pretty sure. im using WED GameStudio A7 for doing maps and placing the stuff, and i use the SED Script Editor for the coding part, when i run the application i see it says "LittleC A7"

and the visible issue it's ok, i mean i have no problem with that, the problem is i can't make the objects to become passable, that's the real issue.
=D

also i tried the include thing Roy posted before with no luck.. same error..
pretty weird..

Thanks!
-Brian.

PS: if i use "my.passable = on;" i have no errors, but the entity is not passable..

So, if you type

set(my,PASSABLE);

The entity is not passable? That would be not good...

Do you save your script as *.c? Then it is right, that is save as lite-c. If the ending of your scriptname is *.wdl, that is wrong, that is the old syntax of c-script.

ok if i use:

set(my,PASSABLE);

i have an error saying "Bad or missing parameter, wrong function."

if i use:

my.passable = on;

i can run without errors but the entity is not passable.

and yes, im saving the files with *.wdl

i'm helping myself with a tutorial, the FPS tutorial made by Grimber and he was using A6.22

frown

Thanks for your time and efforts guys, i REALLY appreciate this!!

Alright, so you're using c-script and not lite-c.
So you can't use the set(object, flag) function.
The only problem now is that the entity isn't passable...
Does your movement function have the mode flag IGNORE_PASSABLE
set? Like this:

c_move(my,vector(x,y,z),nullvector,IGNORE_PASSABLE);

i think you clarify the things smile

and i checked that before, on the whole script and no, im not using NOT_PASSABLE.

it's so weird..

must be doing something wrong.. just not sure what..

eek

Thanks!
-Brian.

NOT_PASSABLE? What is that? I'm talking about IGNORE_PASSABLE. That's something different...

Anyway, you HAVE to have that in your movement function. If you don't have it, well, that's the fault...

Yes, IGNORE_PASSABLE must be set in the move code otherwise the player will not ingore passable entities and bump inot or walkl over them.
ent_move(blah, blah, ignore_me & ignore_passable & use_box);

WE ARE TELLING YOU THAT YOU SHOULD USE IGNORE PASSABLE ELSE YOU WILL NEVER PASS THRU A PASSABLE SET ENTITY. smile
