@cowabanga: if you import as 3ds you lose bones.
@Maximillian: this is not bone resize, it's just your model is too small.
goto edit->scale model global and make it like 5 times bigger. this will fix it.

O_o' i've to setup the rigg in max again :-\ thnx alot btw that was illuminating @cowabanga: if you import as 3ds you lose bones. Yeah, i know. But he said that he has imported his mesh from 3ds to med via fbx. And that's wrong. correct me if i'm wrong. it was an abbreviation for 3DS Max, sorry for the misundrestaning ^_^

you dont need to do anything, just follow the steps i posted above.
@Cowabanga: what's wrong with FBX? it is the main format used to import models to Gamestudio. (not only from max but also, autodesk maya,autodesk softimage etc.)
