Hey there,

I came across Pianossimo in one of the AUMS and it focused for me a thought I been entertaining for 3 odd years, make a keyboard synth.

So I set about doing the usual, got the prog to play in A7, changed the set up to play the notes with keys, discovered other sound variables and then still more.....

So Im asking if any one has toyed around with sound codes and have something similar already prototyped or on the go, would you share some hints please to cut a long journey short.

Thanks for your time.

IŽve similar thoughts, but I want to use Fmod for this task.
HeelX has done a nice wrapper for it.

To do a real synthesizer, youŽll need at least:

-A controllable oscillator - this can also be a sampler for arbitrary Waveforms (VCO)

-A controllable filter, usually a low pass filter (VCF)

-A controllable amplifier (VCA)

-At least one envelope generator (AD / ADSR)

This sounds more complicated as it should be.
I think the greatest challenge would be to implement full MIDI support.

Why choose Lite-C?
Well...
...
To prove an alibi, we could do some fancy visual effects and user interfaces with the engine. smile

Ok, Im a long way from there, I just got notes playing and modifying them with loops and modulations is a task in itself smile
Good luck with the FMod thingy smile

Why Lite C, because I am learning it or at least, wrap my head around around the basics.

I see some nice code floating around so I know thers a lot more to go yet smile
