Hey guys, i am programming my weapon system.
It includes several weapons like piston, ak475, riffle, a sword, bow and arrow, grenade launcher, etc.

They are animate. For example, when i shoot whit the pistol,it sounds the shoot and then the hand and the pistol moves an reload. The sword is animated when moves to hit th enemy and so on...

The grenade launcher spends the grenade and it bounce when get down the floor, etc. Tryin to be realistic.

in this momment i would like to add a weapon that spend a ray
(laser) but i dont have the code to make that effect.
I will apreciate if some one of you can share me the code.

When my weapon system be conclused i would like to share the code with you for your using.

in this link there are somo pics of my weapon system.

Have a look in the AUM I think there might a laser weapon code in there or some info on working with light beams. Can't remember which issue though.

Ask in the AUM forum somebody should point you in the right direction.

Looking forward to the final result.

You could just use vec_for_vertex, to get the position of the models vertex you want the laser to fire from. Then you'll need to write an effect function. You can find some good examples in the manual. Set the particle's flags to BRIGHT and BEAM. Then apply velocity to them in the direction the laser is supposed to fire.

If you don't understand, I can probably make you an example when I have time.

P.S.- I think your weapons look pretty cool. But you might want to make the muzzle flash a little smaller. It's quite big, especially for the pistol! laugh

Sure, I'll help you when I have time. I ask a lot of questions here, so I think I need to offer some assistance to others. laugh

Just let me know what you need. I'll try to give you a slice of code and some bmaps to make your laser effect soon. What type of laser do you want? A laser beam for a sight? Or an actual laser gun/weapon?
