From the manual:

"C-Script to lite-C"

http://www.conitec.net/beta/litec_migration.htm

Quote:
You can use text conversion software for making this easier. ReplaceEm (f.i. at http://www.freeware-archiv.de/BKReplaceEm-Dateien.htm) is a free tool that can be used to almost automatically cleaning up your C-Script code and then converting it to lite-C. Here are two replace tables for this tool: wdl_to_wdl.txt fixes sloppy code in your C-Script file, and wdl_to_c.txt converts it to lite-C afterwards. Still, in many cases the conversion will require manual steps as described below, but the two automatic replace operations should cover 70% of the task.

it would be quite difficult to create a converter for that smile
but on the other hand, i think i've seen something like that, but it wasnt for converting your whole code but only for some parts of it like:

string... to STRING*...
var vLoc[3]; to VECTOR* vLoc;

and such stuff

Ubi bene, ibi Patria.

I think I know what you are refering to, it hasnt been updated at all and only converts .wdl to c_script or A5 to A6.

Use the 'manual' Luke, the manual is your friend. 'Self reminder' smile

I have just been through this process.
It took 3 weeks at 12 hours per day to convert our Code base since A3.9 8-10 years I think, 75000 lines of code.

I used replacem like the manual said, unless your code is impeccibly layed out it won't do much.

I used textpad replace in multiple files to better effect, but the difference between flags, and the fussyness to upper lower case is what took the time.

If you have a lot of code don't take this lightly it has set me back a month and I've still not got what I had in C-script, only just got the player walking yesterday!

Jethro.

a3.9 word definition language is a lot diffrent than a7/a6 wdl, converting a7 c-script to lite-c is easier than converting a3/4/5 one.
