I am trying to import a model made in 3ds max 9 to WED and constantly have a problem with texture coordinates. Here is what I do:
1. Create a model in 3ds max, apply unwrapUVW modifier, make an unwrap and add texture.
2. export the model in .3ds format
3. import the model to MED (it has no texture), then press "Manage skins"->"New skin"->"Texture file"->select the image file (texture)->"Set skin" and the model is now textured. (scr. 1)
4. Export the textured model as .mdl file.
5. Import this .mdl to WED, select the model, click texture and set the texture. However, the texture is placed incorrectly all the time. it seams that UV coordinates don't work
