Amazing work!
The shaders look to strength on the pictures but it looks great, anyway. I personally like the sun-rays on 5th image mostly.

Keep it up.

thanks for all the nice comments! As you can tell I've been working really hard over the last year.

Every feature in the screen shots can be adjusted easily. I see that some like the "edge blurring" which is actually atmospheric lighting. If it is too strong for your taste, you can lower the attenuation or disable alltogether by simply calling a function. Same with diffuse, specular, emissive, ambient and every other type of light!

One purpose of the Beta test is to get a larger sample of framerates.
So far:
8700GTm (laptop) 25fps
9800GTX 60fps
GTX250 95fps

the scene has 1.6 million polygons, dynamic sunlight, one omni light, 86 detail lights, and runs at standard definition (1024x768).

Also, I'll make sure to add some more dynamic models - the palm trees and the cloth move with the wind

I want to vouch that these shaders look amazing in-game. With everything being able to be edited as pleased you can achieve the high-quality look of your game like you want! When I was running the demo it was running smooth at 60 FPS rarely ducking under that mark. Proud to say that Ground Tactics will be using this in our project as we've supported it since it's idea stage!

Great work Michael!

Interesting. Do you have any images to share? I am interested if you could solve the (too) soft smoothing around edges that produces wrong shading.

is this something just for ground tactics? "or" Is this a stand alone engine? If it is(stand alone) I cannot find a link for it.
