As for the models, DO NOT distribute them or use them for any other project. Otherwise I will need to take down the demo.

oO.. ever heard sth. of licence agreements? you know that there are pretty high fines for sth. like that? Why do you think dexSoft is writing licences? Just for fun? smile

concerning the beta, I'll wait for a stable and faster version (see comments before - as you said you'll release another beta in the next days), before given a detailed criticism.

Due to certain elements the current Beta version is no longer available. We are excited to announce to standby for the new Beta release in the coming days and we greatly appreciate the initial feedback and response from those who had the chance to try it out. All bugs mentioned have been tended to and improvements have been and will continue to be made. So please be patient and once again thanks!

If you only wouldnīt sound so "very official".
I mean come on, you are not a big, impersonal and faceless company.
Youīre an indie after all. We are not only your customers - we are also your peers.

Iīm sure that youīll handle the problems with Iridium. It looks quite promising so far.

you dont have to be a big company to be "official". we're trying to make something and we're taking it seriously. this way is much better and we work better, being serious, organized and "official".
what would you prefer? an update every day on what we've done today, one screen everyday. "hey, we just created a muzzle flash for our first weapon, what do you think about it?" and i dont see anything particularly "official" in that post. maybe "...to announce..." part. how would you write that post? to be clear, i'm not trying to be harsh on you... wink i hope you see my point...

No, of course no offense. Sorry for the OT. smile
Imo itīs better to act small if you are small. This is not bad - nowadays small companies have a lot of advantages.
Namely transparency, flexibility and closeness to customers. This leads to confidence, which is good regarding the whole "crisis".
Dejooban is a good example for what I mean.

They donīt take everything to serious, at least when it comes to PR.
Itīs not about >1.000.000 $ budget, itīs about fun and smartness.
You can be organised as well as easy going, this is not a contradiction.

Uhm, is it me or is the last building made of wet clay? Also, if you ask my honest opinion... bloom overload! But the models and shadows are nice.

Oo... it's not supposed to look real. It's supposed to show that the effects run at a reasonable fps.
What is it with everyone not liking it? It's a beta!
Foxfire, no matter what everyone says, I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Yeah, I agree. It needs a lot of tweaking but you can see a lot of potential.
And that seems to be the main point of this beta.
