Hi folks.

A friend of my gave me this pic and ask me to
tell him what I think about it.
He has an game idea. Of course - we all have ideas. But he want to make an adventure with exactly this stylish idea.
Yes, the course is a horror / psychedelic one.

Do you think that this style could be mass conform? Interesting for huge group of gamers - or is it to special?

Would you personally give such a game a chance - just by looking this one pic? is this style interesting enough?

to me the problem isn't that it looks too special but too unspecial. like a cheap photoshop filter. it depends on if this style only gets used for the backgrounds and on how the characters will look like but probably i wouldn't want to play a game like that.

i immediately started picturing something but i doubt your going that route.. if you concentrate on great gameplay, the style will be the least of player's concerns

personally i wouldnt play that game too, because i dont like horror games alot. dont look how's that picture created smile you all wouldnt play left4dead if someone show you it's cover(that hand and green background)? there was nothing special in its sytle...

anyway, alpha_strike, you're question and topic are not quite on the level(didnt how to say that). way too little informations. people will see if they like the game when they see more of screens and videos. it all depends alot on very big number of factors...

This looks like in the Max Payne game. Do you remember the images between several chapters? I did not like them.

I think that I will take a hour to make a menu.
Maybe with a little snow fall. It would be best to show the result later in a vid.

"...but first it needs to be done..."
the best rhetoric statement of all time ;-)

Yes it's interesting enough to be distinguished from other mainstream dark themed games. It has a lot of potential just by using that style. But it wont become a best seller. IMO it should remain a relatively short story with interesting gameplay in order to keep all of the game interesting.
