Once again : You should read the price before posting too fast tired

Well 700$ just for unwrapping when you can achive good one ?
It can, be good for Professionnal team selling titles and that want to go fast perhaps ?

But lot of tools already do very good unwrapping where you can tweak the UV also.
Blender , Wings3D, 3D Coat have alrady a very good Unwrap feature (some have some sort of relax feature also for UV).

And for structures (buildings , objects assets etc ...) that's not human face, that's simple UV mapping to do and that tool is useless in theses cases also.
If you are full of money and want to waste some ... crazy

Thats my point any thing cheap you love, anything expensive you complain about. I just gave links not price tags and who really cares anyway?

I had an earlier version of Unfold 3D. I bought into the idea that a tool totally dedicated to a task just had to be good. Well, Unfold 3D is a good tool, no mistake. However, for just a little more I was able to get modo, which is a complete modeling solution, 3D painting and sculpting, rendering and animation package. It turns out that modo's UV tools are almost as good as Unfold 3D's (better in some respects and not quite as good in others). For the slight difference, it was a much better investment to get modo.

Frankly, I cannot see spending hundreds of dollars just to unwrap a model. Most of the high-end modeling packages have excellent unwrapping solutions as it is. Most of the people I know that work in the industry are not using tools like Unfold 3D. Obviously someone is using the tool or else they would not still be in business, though. wink
