glad I read this post cause I actually know the answer for once =D

I'm sure the models you imported have textures with an alpha channel (ie 32bit tga). The engine automatically treats these as being transparent and sorts the models differentley. If you use a simple shader or change the model's textures to 24bit there should be no problem. If your using a shader, make sure it has depth test and writing enabled as well as alphatest enabled.

it sounds like your nomrals have been flipped,

choose FLIP NORMALS in MED, the top right button with the blue box and red face

@Foxfire,

I've got the same problem too, thus I've change my texture into 24 bits.. Sad to say that it doesn't support transparency therefore the alpha channel will be visible in my level.. I've tried to check OVERLAY flag just to test even though I know that it'll now work, but no luck.. Any idea how can I make the alpha channel invisible???

you mean visible, or used?
in med under manage skins(edit tab)
scroll down to texture format, ensure that it is 32bit with alpha checked.

if it is and if that doesn't work, modify the script in the entity action to have this line.

set(my,OVERLAY);

Could you be a little more clear, the 2 seem to be opposite issues....on one hand nothing is transparent, on the other you have clipping issues....what image types are you using in both cases.

do the plants use a tga with a mask(32bit)
the car and the building what are they using?
